Clean kitchen : A way to happy living

24 07 2012

If we promise to provide you with the most delicious food in a wonderful ambience then we must tell you that it is matched up by a clean and healthy kitchen. The kitchen is command central of any restaurant. It is the place where food gets delivered, prepped, cooked and plated before being served to customers.

Since the kitchen is where our food preparation is performed, maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment is essential. This involves the wiping of counter tops and your cutting boards which is the actual preparation area where we cut up your vegetables  for cooking. Leaving food uncovered in kitchen utensils allows harmful bacteria to grow and spread throughout your kitchen hence the food is always kept covered.

The kitchen is cleaned at least once a day with a disinfectant. Since our hands and food act to contaminate each other,we wash them with anti-bacterial soap previous to and following the handling of risky foods. Utilizing different utensils for raw and cooked foods is necessary as well.  Refrigerators are scoured at least once a month and ovens, microwaves and other appliances are cleaned whenever they show signs of filth.

Not only us, but you should also make sure that you keep a clean and hygienic kitchen. Neglecting to clean your kitchen on a regular basis can have detrimental consequences on your family.

A clean kitchen leads to a happy restaurant with healthy food and satisfied customers.

18 07 2012

Being successful does not mean doing all those things which the competitors are doing. It means doing things which theyare missing out on.Exciting people’s imaginations by curiosity, interest, admiration, and desire, translates into patronage, loyalty, and even better word of mouth. That is why we focus on creating great products and presenting them.

This time the new product on our list is the beer tower. This product has been launched for the first time in the city of Jaipur. The beer towers are called by many names in different places; some call them beer fonts, others call it beer heads, yet it’s known mostly as beer towers. Beer Towers have captured the imagination of the world of bars representing the bar’s spirit of expression.

The beer tower adds to the luxurious and wealthy feel to the bar and especially gives a welcoming look to all our customers. Its regal high headed feature, tall look and molded ceramic structure truly beckons to the ultimate in luxury feel by the guests encountering it, a definite stop over creator on the bar.

Hot Cocktails for Monsoon!

6 07 2012

Monsoon has finally arrived Jaipur. While you must be enjoying getting drenched in the downpour, you definitely need something to warm up your insides to enhance the joy of raindrops. What is your choice?

-A cup of tea!

Let us fortify your tea with something stronger.

Here are two recipes for Tea Based Hot Cocktails from Devraj Niwas, Jaipur.

A rousing Whisky Tea Toddy is just the right thing to fire you up inside out on the dampest of days and coldest of nights – a recipe breathtaking in its simplicity.

“Build” a Whisky Tea Toddy, which means that we will pour the ingredients directly in a large mug (or a glass tumbler), one by one, strictly in the order given in the recipe below:

  1. Brew one cup of steaming hot tea
  2. Strain and keep the tea brew piping hot on the stove or in a vacuum flask.
  3. Pour a generous spoon of Honey into a glass (or mug). Let the honey settle at the bottom of the glass.
  4. Add a large peg of Whisky.
  5. Lemon Juice – just add the drops of lemon juice. Do Not Stir at this stage and ruin the Cocktail.
  6. Pour in the steaming hot brewed Tea.

Now that you have “built up” your Cocktail you can give it a light stir to enable all the ingredients to mix.

  1. Brew one cup of steaming hot tea.
  2. Strain the tea in another vessel and keep this tea brew simmering on a slow flame.
  3.  Add a few cloves (lavang), a pinch of nutmeg (Jaiphal) powder, a small stick of cinnamon (dalchini), close the lid and simmer for some time.
  4.  Blend in a teaspoon of honey.
  5.  Pour in One Large Peg of Rum and blend in.
  6.  Pour in One Large Peg of Brandy and blend in.
  7.  The moment the concoction boils, strain and pour into a glass tumbler.

Now cuddle up on your warm sofa and sip the invigorating Tea Toddy of your choice.

Close your eyes, focus on your insides as the heady cocktail goes down inside you and experience how it warms you inside out.
